President's Message
Dear Members of the Boston-New England Chapter of IACRN,
I hope this letter finds you enjoying the start of summer. As we move through 2024, I am thrilled to share some exciting updates and highlights from our chapter.
First and foremost, I am delighted to announce that several of our members, including our secretary Amy Sabean, have successfully received their CRN certification by portfolio. This achievement is a testament to their hard work, expertise, and commitment to excellence in our field. Please join me in congratulating them on this amazing accomplishment! Reminder, that the Boston-New England Chapter has a Certification Accountability Group (CAG), currently led by our treasurer Catherine Dempsey, that just started meeting in preparation for the October 1st portfolio submission deadline.
On June 18th, we hosted our first post-COVID in-person chapter meet-up at Time Out Market in the Fenway area. It was wonderful to reconnect face-to-face and share experiences. We look forward to more opportunities to gather in person together in the future.
Our Education Committee has been working hard to line up an array of educational offerings for the upcoming year. We are committed to providing valuable resources and learning opportunities to support the professional growth and development of our members. Stay tuned for more details on these exciting programs!
This fall we will hold elections to fill several important board positions. We have openings for President-Elect, Member at Large, and Treasurer. Serving on the board is a fantastic way to contribute to the CRN community, develop leadership skills, earn points toward CRN certification, and make a meaningful impact on the chapter's direction and success. If you are interested or would like more information, please reach out to Emily Clermont (emily.clermont@childrens.harvard.edu), who can provide further details.
Thank you all so much for your ongoing support and dedication to the Boston-New England Chapter of IACRN.
Wishing you a wonderful summer!
Warm regards,
Catriona N. Grant, MSN, RN
