President's Message
Cheers to the BNE Chapter! I hope that everyone is finding time to relax despite the hustle and bustle of this time of year. As you are all aware, we wrapped this year up with our annual elections and am excited to welcome our new Board members Lacy Coviello and Jennifer Lewis, Members at Large, Catherine Dempsey, Treasurer, and Catriona Grant, President Elect. I would also like to send out a big THANK YOU to Marisa Albert as she moves on from the Board and to Catherine Dempsey who is shifting from her Member at Large position to take on the role of Treasurer. Both Marisa and Catherine have been responsible for pulling together our newsletters and have been working on managing pieces of the website, among other things. We truly could not have had a successful year without them!
As we look forward to next year, we have some exciting things in the works. As we have over the past few years, we have been working with the MGH Research Nurse Collaborative to plan a program in the spring. This coming year, we are also partnering with the New York City Chapter of IACRN along with The Rockefeller University Hospital Heilbrunn Family Center for Research Nursing, and have been planning a regional meeting – “Clinical Research Nurse Symposium: Ethical Dilemmas in Clinical Research” on Friday April 28th from 9:00 – 1:00. It has truly been a pleasure to work with our New York colleagues to create this program and can envision this becoming an annual event. As a Chapter, we are talking about working towards providing additional programming and CE opportunities. For example, we have a program in the works that aims to support our members who are interested in applying for certification – further details to come in the New Year!

As always, we would love to hear from you regarding ways that we can continue to grow this Chapter. Beginning a New Year is a great time to get involved as we plan our activities for the coming months, so feel free to reach out to me at aconnor@bidmc.harvard.edu .
Best wishes and Happy New Year to you all!
