Amy Sabean, RN, BSN

Candidate for Secretary

I am a Research Study Nurse in the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Diabetes Research Center.  In the course of the two years I’ve been at MGH, I’ve had the opportunity to work on many different types of trials both as a Research Nurse and a Project Manager. Outside of my study-related responsibilities, I am a member of the advisory team and professional development working group of the MGH Clinical Research Nurse Collaborative, which aims to connect and empower CRNs at MGH. I am also a member of both the national and Boston NE Chapter of IACRN.  I am interested in running for Secretary of this chapter to help further advance the CRN specialty here in New England and learn more about Research Nursing at other facilities in our area.  I believe my current experience with clinical trials, leadership of research committees, and project management make me a strong candidate for this position.  Thank you for your consideration.

Jennifer Lewis, BSN, RN, RNC-LRN

Candidate for Member At Large

My interest in the position of Member At Large stems from the support and encouragement I have received from my colleagues at BCH as well as encouragement from the returning BNE-IACRN chapter board members.  I joined the BCH CROC department in February 2022 and have continued to have the opportunity to be mentored by many extremely dedicated and knowledgeable research nurses.  My nursing background is primarily NICU/Mat Child and Peds, I am excited to become a meaningful and contributing member of the research nurse community.  I have proven to be a supportive and engaged team and committee member this past board year and would welcome the chance to learn more about the Boston NE Chapter of the IACRN and the ways that the organization can be supported and promoted.  Access to quality education programs and conferences/ networking events is critical for nurses to engage with and feel supported in their growth within any specialized nursing practice.  I am excited for the opportunity to be a small part of a dedicated group that encourages registered nurses to learn more about professional development within Clinical Research Nursing.
